The Naked Inventor® Calendar

Caroline never backs down from a challenge and is always up for a bit of fun. That’s why she was Miss June in the cheeky and popular Naked Inventor® Calendar in 2004. Alongside 11 other fearless inventors from the Croydon Round Table of Inventors and ideas21, Caroline confidently bared (nearly) all for a good cause, raising funds for Cancer Research and the Motivation Charity. Not only did she show off her brilliant invention, but she also showed off her playful and daring spirit, proving that she’s not just an inventor, but also an inventor with a sense of humor. The Naked Inventor® Calendar was a huge success, raising a lot of money for charity and putting a fun spin on an otherwise serious topic.

* From Sun Worshipper’s tool to a multi-purpose lotion applicator: The story behind BackBliss rebranding.

After its initial launch, the BackBliss Lotion Applicator, originally known as the BodyBaster, went through a series of name changes. The BodyBaster name was chosen as the product was initially targeted toward sun worshippers. However, it quickly became apparent that the applicator could be used for a much wider range of lotions and creams, including fake tan, self-tanners, body lotions, medical creams, pain relief creams, and back tattoo healing and maintenance gels.

With the wide range of uses, Caroline realized that the BodyBaster name had too was not suitable for the product’s broader audience. The name was changed briefly to Back Beauty, but this was deemed too female-centric as Caroline found out that a significant number of her customers were men.

Finally, the product was renamed as BackBliss over 15 years ago, which was deemed as a more inclusive and fitting name for the product, as it conveyed the sense of relief and well-being the applicator provided to the users and has helped the product to reach a wider audience.
